During and after Easter your willpower takes a battering, every time you crave that chocolate, it’s only a short walk away. Here at FitYou, we feel your pain, so we’ve put together these ten simple tips, to help you get through this chocolate covered period without adding weight to your waistline.
1. Exercise a bit more. If you find it hard to resist the chocolate, then don’t; just be prepared to go for an extra walk, or run. If you eat more chocolate during this time, then exercise more, it all balances out. 2. Break the eggs up. Break all your eggs up and put them in a container, that way you’ll be more inclined to grab a piece here and there. If they are all intact, you can often find yourself eating whole eggs at a time. 3. Have a dinner party After dinner put the eggs out to enjoy with your guests, that way you get rid of them, still get to eat them, and don’t have to eat them all. 4. Melt them Make up a fresh fruit platter and use the melted eggs as a dipping sauce. 5. Share each egg Crack one egg at a time, and share it amongst the whole family. 6. Put them in the outside fridge. If you’re lucky enough to have a fridge in the garage, then store the eggs there. It may be enough to stop you going back for more, but at least you’re walking a bit further. 7. Join the dark side. Recent studies have shown that some chocolate is good for your heart, helping to limit strokes and heart attacks. Just try and make sure you’re eating dark chocolate. 8. Ration the eggs. Set a rule of a little chocolate every night, or every second night. By eating it in small amounts, you’re satisfying the craving and not over indulging. 9. No TV snacking. Try to avoid eating your eggs in front of the TV. When you’re not concentrating on what you’re eating you’re more likely to eat more than you should. 10.Eat earlier. 10. Eat earlier. By eating your eggs earlier in the day you are more likely to burn off the kilojoules. Eating at night doesn’t give you much opportunity to work off the sugar hit before bed. |
